YouTube skippable in-stream ads play before, during, or after other videos. After 5 seconds, the viewer has an option to skip the ad. Personally when I'm viewing a video on YouTube my eyes go directly to the lower right hand corner to that countdown! I worked with my team in creating a concept out of this, in order to get the attention of the viewer immediately, before they look at that skip ad button.
