Rebranding of APT

Art Direction • Branding • Web Design

American Public Television (APT) has been the leading syndicator of high-quality, top-rated programming to the nation’s public television stations since 1961. APT programs include prominent documentaries, performance, news and current affairs programs, dramas, how-to programs, children’s series
and classic movies.

I had the opportunity to design the rebrand of APT. The boxes represent the various methods and devices used for viewing APT's programs.
I established and designed a comprehensive branding guideline and corporate identity package. The logo was adapted for all marketing elements such as bags, mugs, sweaters, T-shirts, pens and notebooks etc. The rebrand was a complete makeover of all assets from, signage, print, web/digital
and social media to on-air.

APT's 2D/3D signage was designed for the outer lobby, inner lobby and board room. I worked closely with the vendor to choose the proper materials that would be light weight, cost effective and keep within the brand. I wanted to enhance the gradient and transparency within the boxes to represent the logo.
